Who we are

Kadibi (kadibi.com) builds and hosts websites for local businesses and gives them a dashboard to run their enquiries, bookings, customers and payments. It can also run Facebook, Instagram and Google ads for a business that buys our marketing service. Our contact details are at the end of this page and on our Contact page (/contact).

This policy covers people who use Kadibi to run a business (owners and their staff) and visitors to kadibi.com. Each business's own website has its own privacy policy for that business's customers; for them, the business decides how their data is used and Kadibi processes it on the business's behalf.

What we collect

• Your mobile number, and your email address if you give one, to sign you in with a one-time code. There are no passwords.
• Your name, and the name, category, address, phone numbers and other details of your business.
• The photo you upload (a visiting card, signboard or storefront) and the details we read from it.
• What you add to your website and dashboard: text, photos, services, prices, opening hours, enquiries, bookings, customer records and invoices.
• Billing details: your plan and payments. Card and UPI details are taken by Razorpay and never stored by Kadibi.
• Technical data: the device and browser you use, your IP address, and error reports without personal data.

How we use it

• To create, host and update your website, and to run your dashboard.
• To sign you in and keep your account secure, including limits that stop misuse.
• To send you messages about your account and website on WhatsApp and by email: sign-in codes, when a step of your website's setup is done (with a link to continue), payments, orders, bookings and important changes.
• To run the ads you ask us to run, and to show you how they perform.
• To take payments and keep the invoices and records the law requires.
• To answer your questions and support requests.

We do not sell personal data, we do not use it to advertise other companies' products, and we do not use it to build profiles of people.

Data from Meta (WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram)

Kadibi uses Meta's business tools in two ways, and receives only the data described here.

WhatsApp Business Platform. We send you WhatsApp messages: sign-in codes and updates about your account and website. We send Meta your mobile number and the message, and keep a record of what we sent. We do not receive or read your WhatsApp chats, contacts or profile, and we do not use WhatsApp for advertising.

Marketing API (Facebook and Instagram ads). When a business buys ads from Kadibi, we create and run its campaigns on Facebook and Instagram through Kadibi's own Meta business account, using the business's name, photos, offer and target area. Meta gives us totals for each ad: impressions, clicks and amount spent. These numbers are about the ads, not about people: we do not receive the names, profiles or contact details of people who see or click the ads.

Kadibi does not use Facebook Login, does not place a Meta Pixel on kadibi.com, and does not sell, share or transfer data received from Meta to anyone else, or use it for any purpose other than the ones above. We keep it only while it is needed for them, and delete it when you ask (see How to delete your data, below).

WhatsApp messages and your consent

When you give us your mobile number, you agree that Kadibi may send you WhatsApp messages about your account and website. These are messages you need, not advertising.

If you no longer want WhatsApp messages from Kadibi, tell us through Help and support in your dashboard or using our Contact page (/contact). Sign-in codes can then be sent to your email address instead.

AI

Kadibi uses AI from OpenAI and Anthropic to read the photo you upload and to write and design your website and ads. They receive only the photo and the business details needed for that. AI-written text is a draft: please check it before you publish.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the companies that run parts of Kadibi for us, and only what each needs:

• Amazon Web Services: hosting, storage and file malware scanning (Mumbai region)
• OpenAI and Anthropic: reading photos and writing website designs and text
• Razorpay: payments and refunds
• Meta: WhatsApp messages, and Facebook and Instagram ads a business buys
• Google: Google Ads a business buys
• Our email provider: sign-in codes and messages by email
• Cloudflare: domain names bought through Kadibi
• Sentry: error reports without personal data

We also share data when the law requires it, for example with tax authorities.

Cookies

kadibi.com uses only the cookies it needs to work: one that keeps you signed in, one that lets the browser that uploaded a photo continue with it, and one that counts rejected photo uploads to stop misuse. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Public pages

Your published website is public. Before it is live, a preview link lets anyone who has the link see it; share it only with people you choose.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you ask us to delete it, we delete it, except records the law requires us to keep, such as invoices and tax records, which we keep only as long as that law requires.

How to delete your data

You can ask us to delete your account and all your data, including data we received through Meta, at any time. Our Data deletion instructions (/legal/del) explain the steps: send a request from Help and support in your dashboard, or write to us at the contact details below.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Sign-in uses one-time codes, uploads are checked for malware, payment provider keys are encrypted, and staff of a business see only what its owner allows. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

Kadibi is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's data; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can see and change most of your data in your dashboard. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to messages. Our Notice under the DPDP Act (/legal/dpdp) explains your rights under Indian law and how to raise a grievance.

Changes

We will update this page when how we handle data changes, change the date at the top, and tell you about important changes.
